Bitcoin is the investment that attracts more millennials

By Moris Beracha-. Millennials are growing, working and making money, and seemingly saving in bitcoin is more attractive to them than to other generations. Colin Harper publishes in Bitcoin Magazine that the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) was the fifth preferred capital investment by millennials. In addition, according to a Blockchain Capital survey, 27% of millennials would invest in bitcoin.

Charles Schwab, a bank and stock brokerage firm, published its third-quarter investment indicator report, which reveals the distribution of investments across the company's brokerage accounts. This report corroborates that millennials, compared to gen-X and boomers, are more familiar with bitcoin value.

Baby boomers, according to most generation classifications, are currently between 55 and 73 years old, while those belonging to generation X range between 39 and 54 years old. Millennials are those who were born after 1980, until the beginning of the new millennium; they are between 19 and 38 years old.

Topping the millennials' investment distribution list was Amazon (7.87%), followed by Apple (6.18%), Tesla (3.22%), and Facebook (3.03%). But, Berkshire Hathaway, a company founded and led by the famous bitcoin opponent Warren Buffett, was just behind GBTC with 1.73%.
Berkshire Hathaway was more successful with generation X investors and boomers. The millennials, who are accustomed to growing up in a digital environment, warmed up with Bitcoin earlier than their counterpart from previous generations.

The relative apathy of the millennials’ generation to the stock market, and evidently their attraction to bitcoin. Schwab's survey shows that there is a demand for bitcoin among younger generations. If there were other methods for the average investor, a more accelerated one to buy and maintain bitcoin, perhaps we would see an even greater demand.
